About Triangle Special Hockey Educate, motivate and encourage individuals with developmental and/or physical disabilities to participate in ice hockey in an adaptive environment. Integrate people with disabilities with people without disabilities to promote challenge awareness and to encourage team building. Use hockey to help individuals with disabilities develop positive characteristics – dependability, self-reliance, confidence, concentration, willingness to share, personal accountability – that will help them be more successful both on and off the rink. Educate the general public about special hockey and other disability sports to promote awareness of the challenges and needs of persons who have developmental and physical disabilities.
