The Therapeutic Recreation team of the Rockford Park District is committed to providing community based recreation to promote the development, maintenance, and expression of a meaningful leisure lifestyle to people with disabilities. We deliver our services promoting and/or providing access, inclusion, and specialty recreation. A variety of programs are offered serving individuals ranging from youth to adult. We offer fun, active, and exciting programs. * Buddy Sports * Sports & Fitness * Wheelchair Basketball NASR Programs Northlands Association for Special Recreation (NASR) is a cooperative partnership between the Rockford, Freeport and Belvidere Park Districts (referred to as a member districts). NASR programs are open to any individual with disability-related needs. Member district residents are invited to participate in specialty/ therapeutic recreation (TR) programs offered through any member district at the resident rate. Participation in inclusion services at a member district other than your own member district dictates you must pay the non-resident rate for that specific program.
