About Our Organization Watch This Video Play Now S.M.C.L. Foundation & Associates Inc. Empowering Communities The S.M.C.L. Foundation & Associates Inc. is a non-profit organization established in 2006 with the aim of improving the quality of life for military veterans, citizens with disabilities, and those who are economically challenged. Based in New Orleans, LA, SMCLF received its state charter as a non-profit and 501 (c)(3) designation in 2007. Our Mission Our mission is to serve as public servants and develop and conduct adaptive sports and other multi-services to improve the lives of those in need within our community. Acts of Service in the Community Over 1,500 members of the Greater New Orleans community have taken part in our Annual Field of Hope & Toys for Tots give away. Over 3,600 members of the Greater New Orleans community have participated in health fairs to raise awareness and outreach in economically disadvantaged areas. 175 people with disabilities have been helped to discover or perfect their athletic abilities in several different types of wheelchair sports and athletic activities. 1,250 residents of the Greater New Orleans Area have attended community education events and been actively engaged in hands-on activities to learn about life experiences and sports while in a wheelchair.
